Mary Godinez Injured, Miguel Flores Uninjured in Two-Vehicle Accident on Winmoore Way Near Gobel Way

 
MODESTO, CA (November 5, 2020) — A Modesto woman sustained critical injuries Monday evening following a two-car crash on Winmoore Way near Gobel Way.
 
According to reports, officers arrived at the scene around 6:45 p.m. just southeast of Crows Landing and Hatch roads. There, crews found drivers—67-year-old Mary Godinez and 27-year-old Miguel Flores.
 
During the investigation, officers determined that Godinez’s westbound 2007 Buick Rendezvous collided with Flores’ 2006 Hummer under unclear circumstances. At this time, officers remain diligent in determining which vehicle crossed the other car’s lane.
 
However, some details have been determined such as impairment not being a factor and that one of them might have suffered a medical emergency.
 
Following the crash, Modesto fire department personnel extricated Godinez, who had been pinned inside her car. They also determined that she had not been wearing her seatbelt properly.
 
Fortunately, Flores and his passenger did not suffer any wounds.
