Liezl Gonzales Fatally Injured in Rollover Collision on Highway 101 [Burlingame, CA]

34-Year-Old Woman Dies in 2-Car Accident near Millbrae Avenue in Burlingame

BURLINGAME, CA (January 30, 2021) – Late Saturday evening, Liezl Gonzales was fatally injured in a rollover collision on Highway 101.

Reports indicate that Gonzales was driving her 2007 Honda south when she veered off to the right and rolled over. Shortly after, she also struck a 2016 Land Rover driven by a 33-year-old San Francisco resident.

Burlingame Police arrived to the scene around 11:57 p.m. The Honda was located on its roof near Millbrae Avenue.

Due to the impact, Gonzales was ejected from the Honda onto the roadway.

Paramedics pronounced Gonzales dead on scene. The Land Rover driver suffered non life-threatening injuries.

At this time, CHP is still investigating the crash. Once available, more information will be given.

The surrounding area was closed off to the public for a brief time. However, it has since reopened.
