Ashley Guevara Killed After Falling Out of Vehicle at West Clearwater Avenue and North Morain Street
KENNEWICK, WA (October 5, 2020) — A 21-year-old passenger died Sunday after falling out of a moving vehicle at West Clearwater Avenue and North Morain Street.
According to reports, the incident took place around 1:00 a.m. just moments before paramedics arrived to find a woman in her 20s lying on the road.
Sgt. Matt Newton with the Kennewick Police Department informed news reports that the woman had been a passenger in a car that had made a left turn onto Moraine Street.
For unknown reasons, the 21-year-old fell out of the vehicle when the door opened.
Investigators believe that a seatbelt had not been worn and she had either been run over by the car she was occupying or another vehicle.
Due to her severe injuries, Ashley Guevara, of Kennewick, died at the scene.
At this time, officers are interviewing the three other people who’d been in the car with Guevara. Per investigators, the driver did not appear to be under the influence.
