Fabio Castro Killed, Andrew Arbuckle Detained in Laguna Hills Hit-and-Run Accident

 
LAGUNA HILLS, CA (July 23, 2020) – A man died following last Thursday’s hit-and-run pedestrian accident at a parking lot of a hotel along La Paz Road near the 5 Freeway.
 
According to reports, the July 16 incident occurred around 9:15 in the parking lot of The Hills Hotel.
 
At 25205 La Paz Road, a driver struck and gravely injured Fabio R. Castro with a pickup truck before fleeing the scene.
 
Shortly after, Orange County Fire Authority personnel arrived and tried aiding the 22-year-old victim before shuttling him to a nearby hospital; however, despite life-saving attempts, Castro succumbed to his injuries.
 
The following Saturday around 2:30 p.m., officers arrested Andrew Austin Arbuckle in Mission Viejo after determining that he was the suspect in the fatal hit-and-run.
 
Officers booked the 34-year-old Mission Viejo man into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing death and driving on a suspended license.
