Woman Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Thomas Road [Phoenix, AZ]
Two Vehicles Involved in Deadly Pedestrian Accident near 30th Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (June 5, 2020) – Emergency crews confirmed that a woman died in a pedestrian accident in the 3000 block of West Thomas Road on Friday evening.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the collision happened near 30th Avenue at approximately 9:15 PM.
The 28-year-old woman was crossing the road midblock when a Ford SUV hit her. Due to impact, she went up and over the SUV and landed in the roadway. While in the road, a Nissan truck struck her again.
Paramedics sent the victim to the hospital, where she died due to severe injuries.
Both drivers stayed at the scene and didn’t show signs of impairment. However, police continue to investigate the case.
