Woman Hospitalized in Pedestrian Accident at Highway 246 and Sycamore Drive
BUELLTON, CA (May 8, 2020)—A woman suffered traumatic injuries following Thursday night’s pedestrian accident on Highway 246 at Sycamore Drive.
The 8:20 p.m. accident drew Santa Barbara County Fire and two fire engines to the scene. In addition, CALSTAR responded, as well as a ground ambulance.
Arriving officials found a woman with traumatic injuries and a dog deceased at the scene. Due to her condition, paramedics airlifted her to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, California Highway Patrol officers investigated the scene for evidence and learned that the woman had been hit while walking her dog. The driver stayed and cooperated with police investigators.
