39-Year-Old Rider Killed in Motorcycle Crash on 405 Freeway [Irvine, CA]
Fatal Motorcycle Crash with Semi-Trailer Truck in Irvine
IRVINE, CA (November 7, 2020) – Police confirmed that a 39-year-old rider died in a motorcycle crash on 405 Freeway on Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Jamboree Road shortly before 8:00 AM.
Based on a report, the victim’s motorcycle collided with a semi-truck hauling a trailer. Officials did not release the details that led to the accident.
As a result, the motorcyclist from Huntington Beach suffered severe injuries. Medics transported the victim to Orange County Global Hospital, where he died. Officials did not release his name pending notification of next of kin.
The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Upon assessment, either drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, officials ask anyone with information to call Irvine police at 949-724-7047.
