Eight Hospitalized after Sideswipe Accident on Highway 395 [Gardnerville, NV]

GARDNERVILLE, NV (October 25, 2020) – Emergency crews sent at least eight people to the hospital after a sideswipe accident on Highway 395 on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened in the area of Jake’s Hill at approximately 2:00 PM.
Based on a report, the accident involved a pickup truck and a van. Due to unknown reasons, the truck crossed the center line and then sideswiped the van. However, the full details of the crash are not known at this time.
As a result, crews airlifted one of the eight victims to Renown Regional Medical Center. In addition, they transported the other patients to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
The police are still investigating the crash. At this time, they don’t have the details that led to the head-on collision.
