Quanah Souza Dies in Fiery Solo-Car Crash on Highway 4 Near Pine Street
MARTINEZ, CA (October 12, 2020)—A 24-year-old man perished in a fiery single-vehicle accident Sunday morning on Highway 4 near Pine Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, authorities received word about a car accident at 3:04 a.m. and responded immediately after.
Upon arriving, investigators found a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado that had caught on fire after veering off the north side of the highway and striking a fence before it came to a rest on its wheels on Arnold Drive.
The 24-year-old El Sobrante resident, Quanah Souza, died at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released information surrounding the ultimate cause of the accident; however, any witnesses willing to help should contact the CHP’s Contra Costa-area office at (925) 646-4980.
