One Airlifted after Car Accident on East Avenue South [Palmdale, CA]

Pole Split in Half after Crash on East Avenue near 51st Street in Palmdale

 
PALMDALE, CA (September 27, 2020) – A medical helicopter transported one person to the hospital after a car accident on East Avenue South on late Saturday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at 51st Street East at approximately 11:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, two vehicles collided in the lanes. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Palmdale Station alerted firefighters after a car hit a pole, trapping one occupant inside. Consequently, the impact caused the pole to split in half.
 
As a result, responders from the LA County Fire Department rescued the car’s occupant. After that, emergency crews sent two victims to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
 
The crash remained under investigation by the police. However, they did not release further details related to the case.
