Salvador Carrillo Involved in Bicycle Crash on Brookhurst Street [Fountain Valley, CA]
Salvador Carrillo Strikes, Injures 13-Year-Old on Bike at Brookhurst Street and Slater Avenue
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (September 1, 2020) — A 13-year-old sustained injuries following a bicycle accident at Brookhurst Street and Slater Avenue.
According to the police, the incident happened around 11:20 a.m.
A 1996 Nissan Frontier driven by, 21-year-old Salvador Diaz Carrillo of Santa Ana, was traveling southbound on Brookhurst Street as the 13-year-old tried pedaling eastbound on Slater Avenue.
However, under unclear circumstances that require further investigation, the Nissan struck the teen, causing him severe injuries.
Paramedics arrived shortly thereafter and transported him to a local hospital where he remains in stable yet critical condition.
Following the crash, Carrillo stayed back and cooperated with police investigations.
No other information regarding this crash was available. However, if witnesses would like to help authorities, please call the police department.
