MONROVIA, CA (April 16, 2020) — A train fatally struck a child and another pedestrians near California Avenue and Duarte Road Wednesday morning.
 
The accident occurred between the Monrovia and Duarte Gold Line train stations, say news reports.
 
Around 8:45 a.m., the pedestrians began crossing near the train tracks. After that, a northbound L Line train from the Monrovia station struck the pair. Both victims, whose identities have not been released, suffered fatal injuries.
 
Due to the accident, transportation service between the Monrovia and Duarte stations came to a halt. As a result, buses arrived and transported the stranded passengers.
