Valencia Three-Vehicle Collision on Valencia Boulevard and Goldcrest Drive
VALENCIA, CA (April 17, 2020)—A three-vehicle accident Wednesday caused some damage at the intersection of Valencia Boulevard and Goldcrest Drive.
According to Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman of the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a call came through around 6:15 p.m.
Officials arrived to find a silver Toyota Sequoia SUV that had knocked over a light pole, sheared a fire hydrant and landed on top of a vehicle as it crashed into an apartment complex driveway sign.
Reports did not indicate how the three-vehicle crash happened or the events that led to it.
Fortunately, no patients had to be transported to a hospital.
Due to the crash, sheriff’s deputies closed the area while crews worked on the downed pole.
The risks of car accidents increase due to a number of reasons. Distractions in the car, your speed of travel and following too closely to another vehicle are common ways for road accidents to transpire. Avoid all three when behind the wheel. You can maximize your safety by driving safely and defensively.
