Chancellor Goforth Dies in DUI Car Crash on Dry Creek Road [Napa, CA]
Chancellor Goforth Killed, Peter Onley Involved in Drunk Driving Crash
NAPA, CA (April 10, 2020)—A Paso Robles man died Thursday following an alleged DUI accident on Dry Creek Road near Linda Vista Avenue.
According to a news release from the California Highway Patrol, a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser left the road near 2253 Dry Creek Road around 3:30 a.m. The Toyota subsequently traveled down an embankment and into an irrigation pond where it became fully submerged into the water.
Napa resident Peter Onley, 27, was able to extricate himself from the vehicle and to safety; however, Chancellor Goforth, 30, of Paso Robles did not.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and extricated Goforth from the submerged vehicle before taking him to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa where he died.
At this point, it’s unclear who had been driving at the time, but investigators confirmed that alcohol likely played a factor.
This is tragic news to the family and friends of Chancellor Goforth. Our law firm would like to send its deepest condolences to all affected.
