Sentaws Sentaws Dead in High-Speed Pleasanton Accident

 
PLEASANTON, CA (April 9, 2020) — An overturned vehicle accident Tuesday morning on the 580 Freeway near Santa Rita Road claimed a driver’s life.
 
According to the Alameda County coroner’s bureau, 68-year-old Sentaws Sentaws of Danville died in the solo-car accident.
 
California Highway Patrol spokesman Officer Tyler Hahn recounted witnesses’ testimonies and said that speed might have caused the 10:05 a.m. crash.
 
Hahn stated that the 1999 Mercedes-Benz ML 320, driven by Sentaws, made a sharp left turn, struck the center divider and overturned in midair before plunging down into a canal beneath the freeway. The Mercedes subsequently landed on the driver’s side door.
 
However, at this time, investigators do not know whether alcohol or drugs played a factor in the accident. It is also a possibility that a medical issue or a mechanical problem might have contributed to the accident.
