Injuries Reported in Santa Clarita Car Crash on Sand Canyon Road
SANTA CLARITA, CA (April 6, 2020)—A car that crashed over a hundred feet off Sand Canyon Road near Mile Marker 5.2 left four people injured Saturday.
According to Supervisor Pickett with the department, all four patients were taken to nearby trauma centers.
Around 8:45 a.m. that Saturday, the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a collision on Sand Canyon Road. A caller reported a vehicle over the side of the road and an abandoned car nearby.
Arriving at the scene, officials found three individuals, approximately 30 feet from the street. Authorities have yet to determine whether the victims had been ejected or if they walked up from the crash.
Due to those injured, officials contacted a Copter 12 with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
At this point, sources have not released information surrounding what drove the crash or the severity of the injuries sustained. Whether the second vehicle had been involved in the accident remains unclear, as well.
