Man Dies in San Pablo Pedestrian Accident on Giant Road

 
SAN PABLO, CA (April 6, 2020) — A man died following a pedestrian accident on Giant Road near Lake Street Friday night.
 
According to police, the accident occurred around 11:15 p.m. A driver heading southbound in the 2800 block of Giant Road reportedly struck the man on the roadway.
 
Arriving paramedics provided life-saving measures to the victim. However, despite these attempts, the nameless victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The coroner’s office will release his identity once the next of kin has been notified.
 
Following the crash, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police investigators. According to preliminary investigations, officers ruled out impairment as a possible source of the accident.
