Man Impaired During San Diego Pedestrian Crash
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 30, 2020) — A male pedestrian sustained injuries Thursday following an alleged DUI accident on Convoy Street near Balboa Avenue.
According to news reports, the crash befell at approximately 6:30 p.m. as the man was crossing from the west sidewalk to the east sidewalk.
Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department says the man had been drinking when a 2005 Acura TL driver struck him in the No. 1 lane.
As a result of the accident, the 61-year-old male sustained a broken leg and cuts to his head, urging paramedics to bring him to a hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old woman driving the Acura stayed at the scene and did not suffer any injuries.
