Michael Chandler and 2 Others Injured in Rollover Crash on Interstate 5 [Siskiyou County, CA]
3 Hospitalized after Single-Vehicle Collision near Louie Road in Siskiyou County
SISKIYOU COUNTY, CA (January 14, 2021) – Thursday evening, Michael Chandler of Weed, and two others were hospitalized after a rollover crash on Interstate 5.
The incident occurred around 9:22 p.m. According to reports, Chandler was driving a White Kia Rio northbound on the highway when he lost control and veered across the lanes. He then crossed over the center median before striking a concrete barrier about 8 miles south of Grenada.
Due to the impact of the collision, the Kia overturned multiple times. Moreover, a passenger in the back seat was not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from the vehicle.
All three passengers were taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. They were said to have sustained serious injuries. However, their current condition has not been released.
The roadway was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
