Homeless Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on South Arroyo Parkway [Pasadena, CA]
Fatal Pedestrian Collision on East Glenarm Street in Pasadena
PASADENA, CA (January 16, 2021) – Friday evening, a homeless man was killed in a pedestrian crash on South Arroyo Parkway and East Glenarm Street.
The incident occurred around 7:53 p.m. A woman was traveling southbound through a green light on Arroyo Parkway when a homeless man jumped out in front of her.
The female driver stayed on scene and cooperated with the authorities. Due to the impact of the collision, the man suffered life-threatening injuries. Paramedics arrived and rushed him to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Despite life-saving efforts, the man later died at the hospital. At this time, his identity remains unknown pending notification of next of kin.
The roadway was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the area has since reopened to the public.
Additionally, officers say there were no indications that speed or alcohol were factors in the crash. Although, an investigation remains ongoing.
