Cindy Zervos Killed, Eric Kinser Arrested after DUI Crash on PCH [Huntington Beach, CA]
2 Dead after Wrong-Way Accident near Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (January 19, 2021) – Tuesday evening, Eric Kinser fatally struck Cindy Zervos in a DUI Crash on Pacific Coast Highway.
Kinser was driving a northbound white 2007 Dodge Ram pickup on PCH when he crossed the median around 6:45 p.m. According to officers, Kinser struck a silver 1999 Toyota Solara head-on, driven by a 19-year-old Newport Beach man. In addition, he also struck a white 2012 Lexus RX350.
Officers located the three damaged vehicles stopped in the southbound lanes near Warner Avenue.
The Lexus was occupied by 71-year-old Zervos and her 45-year-old female passenger. Zervos suffered serious injuries before she was pronounced dead on scene around 6:55 p.m.
The female passenger of the Lexus was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana where she was treated for moderate injuries. The Toyota driver was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange where he was also pronounced dead at 8:08 p.m.
Medics also transported Kinser to UCI Medical Center for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. He was then arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
