Two-Vehicles Involved in Crash on Clarkson Avenue in Cantua Creek
CANTUA CREEK, CA (January 7, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a two-vehicle crash on Clarkson Avenue on Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near San Mateo Avenue at approximately 5:45 AM. Officers arrived to the area shortly after.
Based on a report, an SUV was traveling north on San Mateo at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the driver failed to stop at the intersection. Subsequently, it collided with a tank truck that was heading west on Clarkson.
As a result of the impact, the SUV driver died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity pending kin notification. Additionally, the tank truck driver was not hurt in the incident.
Officers said there was no fog in the area at the time of the crash. However, the officers continued to investigate the case.
