Driver Killed, Passenger Injured in Highway 99 Crash Near Avenue 152 [Tipton, CA]

Fatal Solo-Car Accident in Tipton

 
TIPTON, CA (January 11, 2021)—A woman lost her life Thursday night in a single-car accident on Highway 99 near Avenue 152.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 19-year-old woman heading northbound on the highway veered right for unexplained reasons. As a result, her vehicle spun out, struck a tree and slammed into a brick wall along the shoulder.
 
In its wake, the accident left the 19-year-old driver dead and her 20-year-old passenger with major injuries.
 
CHP officers have no information that could explain the cause of the accident since alcohol and drugs have been ruled out. However, if anyone holds insight into this case, please contact the CHP.
