According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Pomona Avenue at approximately 8:00 PM.
Based on reports, the male victim walked outside a crosswalk when an unidentified vehicle struck him.
Paramedics took the man to UCI Medical Center in Orange. He was in critical condition.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police for an investigation. As a result, a field sobriety test showed that no drugs or alcohol were involved in the collision.
