Andrea Lopez de Casillas Struck, Killed by Car Involved in Crash at East Bonanza Road and North Eastern Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (December 17, 2020)—A woman died Tuesday after a vehicle, involved in a crash, struck her at East Bonanza Road and North Eastern Avenue.
According to reports, the accident happened around 2:15 p.m.
For unknown reasons, a 15-year-old driver in a Mustang ran a red traffic light and struck a westbound traveling Nissan Pathfinder, whose driver had a green light.
Due to the impact, the Mustang pushed the Pathfinder into Andrea Lopez de Casillas and her 5-year-old boy and 1-year-old girl.
Not long after, paramedics responded and transported the children to University Medical Center with minor injuries; however, Lopez de Casillas died at a hospital.
As for the 44-year-old driver of the Pathfinder, he or she suffered unclear injuries but received care at Sunrise Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Mustang driver and his 16-year-old female passenger remained at the scene for police questioning.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation, and those with information should contact the police.
