Man Killed in Apple Valley Motorcycle Accident
APPLE VALLEY, CA (March 26, 2020) – One rider died in a motorcycle crash on 15 Freeway involving a semi-truck near Dale Evans Parkway.
According to news sources, the incident took place around 5:08 p.m. on the freeway’s northbound side.
One witness reported seeing the motorcyclist traveling at high speeds, urging him to switch lanes to avoid a potential accident. From there, the witness saw the 63-year-old rider from Summit Argo, IL collide with a 2015 Kenworth semi-truck.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officials responded to the scene to find the body and the motorcycle in the slow lane. The Mansfield bar of the semi-truck also cracked in half due to the force of the impact, say reports.
First Responders arrived shortly thereafter and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. As for his identity, the coroner’s office will release his name and residence once the next of kin has been notified.
Because there are few details available to authorities at this time, plans to continue the investigation of the cause remains in place. However, anyone with information should call 760-241-1186.
To the family and friends of the victim, we hope you find comfort and strength during this heavy time. Our lawyers would like to express their deepest condolences.
