Two Vehicles Involved in Pedestrian Accident on Elk River Road in Eureka
EUREKA, CA (December 11, 2020) – One person suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Elk River Road on Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 06:50 PM.
Based on a report, a vehicle struck the pedestrian on Elk River. The CHP Traffic Incident Information Page and the scanner showed that two vehicles hit the victim. Subsequently, the driver of the second vehicle fled the scene.
As a result, the victim sustained two broken legs and one broken arm. Immediately, an ambulance responded to the scene to transport the patient to the hospital.
The driver of the first vehicle stayed at the scene and coordinated with the officers.
Currently, officers are still investigating the crash. They ask anyone with information about the case to contact their office.
