SUN LAKES, AZ (December 10, 2020)—A driver struck and killed a pedestrian Tuesday morning on Highway 587 at Hunt Highway.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the fatal accident happened around 2 a.m. and closed both directions of Highway 587.
 
At this time, the Gila River Police Department has yet to confirm the ultimate cause of the accident or why the pedestrian was walking on the highway.
