Keith Leon Post Killed in Motorcycle Crash on North Chester Avenue [Bakersfield, CA]
Fatal Bakersfield Crash on North Chester Avenue near McCord Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 9, 2020) – Police identified Keith Leon Post as the victim who died in a motorcycle crash on North Chester Avenue on Saturday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near McCord Avenue around 2:52 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was riding his motorcycle southbound on Chester prior to the crash. At the same time, a 2002 Chevrolet was heading northbound on the road. As the vehicle attempted to turn left onto westbound McCord, it crashed into the oncoming motorcycle.
As a result, the impact ejected the victim from the motorcycle. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said the victim died at the scene. Officials identified him as a 46-year-old Bakersfield resident. The driver of the Chevrolet, a 35-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries from the crash and cooperated with police at the scene.
At this time, the Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the case.
