Elderly Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on Skyline Drive in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 5, 2020) – A 72-year-old man suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident in the 7600 block of Skyline Drive on Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim crossed the street outside of a marked crosswalk. Subsequently, a 2012 Kia Optima driven by a 29-year-old woman was not able to stop and hit him.
As a result, the elderly fractured both his legs and sustained cuts to his head and body.
The San Diego Police said alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Currently, officers are still investigating the crash. They ask anyone with information about the case to contact their office.
