Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Driver in Lakeside

 
LAKESIDE, CA (December 7, 2020) — A person died Friday evening in a pedestrian accident on Woodside Avenue near Winter Gardens Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly event happened around 5:45 p.m.
 
Just between Winter Gardens Boulevard and Prospect Avenue, a vehicle struck the pedestrian under unclear circumstances. There, firefighters worked to save the victim’s life, but the pedestrian died shortly after.
 
There were no other details related to the cause of the crash; however, anyone with information should call the CHP.
