Deadly Las Vegas Car Crash at North Tenaya Way
LAS VEGAS, NV (December 11, 2020) — A driver died following Monday’s high-speed two-car accident at North Tenaya Way and Old Mission Drive.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened around 7:00 p.m. south of Lake Mead Boulevard.
Per police officers, a driver in a 2011 Nissan Titan traveling northbound on North Tenaya Way collided with a 2020 Audi Q7.
In the investigation, police learned that the Audi driver crashed into the Nissan as he attempted a U-turn from southbound to northbound Tenaya Way.
Due to the impact, the Nissan struck a light pole and a brick wall after striking the Audi.
Moments after, the two-car crash turned tragic as the 39-year-old Nissan driver perished at Mountain View Hospital. Meanwhile, three adults and a 3-month-old infant riding in the Audi went to University Medical Center for attention. However, only two of the adults sustained moderate injuries in the accident.
According to evidence at the scene, police have ruled out DUI as a possible source of the accident. However, the crash remains under investigation.
