Person Dies in San Ysidro Pedestrian Accident

 
SAN YSIDRO, CA (December 3, 2020) — A pedestrian died Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle on the 5 Freeway near Via de San Ysidro.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal event happened around 12:40 a.m. on the northbound freeway.
 
Under unclear conditions, a driver struck and killed a person trying to cross from the center median to the right shoulder.
 
At this time, the factors that led to the crash require more investigation, but if witnesses would like to help detectives, please contact the CHP.
