Hit-and-Run Driver Sought after Beaumont Pedestrian Accident on 6th Street
BEAUMONT, CA (November 19, 2020) – Authorities confirmed that one person suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on 6th Street on Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Chestnut Avenue at approximately 6:24 PM.
Based on a report, a white Nissan sedan struck the pedestrian. Subsequently, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
As a result, first responders found the victim with grave injuries. Emergency crews transported the patient to the hospital for treatment.
Currently, the Beaumont Police Department is still looking for the vehicle and the hit-and-run driver. Officials believe the vehicle sustained major front-end damage. They ask anyone with information about the case to contact the Beaumont Police Department at 951-769-8500.
