Jonathan Bowdion Dies in Rollover Accident on Highway 50 Near Mile Marker 94
FALLON, NV (November 24, 2020)—A 37-year-old Virginia man died in Sunday’s rollover truck accident on Highway 50 near Mile Marker 94.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash befell around 12:57 p.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, Nevada Highway State troopers determined that a silver 1996 Dodge Ram left the westbound highway for unknown reasons. Subsequently, the driver overcorrected by getting back onto the highway, which caused the vehicle to overturn.
At some point during the accident, two occupants in the truck were ejected after not having worn their seatbelts.
According to reports, Jonathan Wade Bowdion of Chesapeake, Va., died at Renown Regional Medical Center. His passenger, who remains unidentified, sustained major injuries.
At this time, detectives have not confirmed the cause of the accident; however, witnesses with information should call detectives.
