Jose Fuentes Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash at South Central Avenue and East 77th Street

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 24, 2020)—A 50-year-old man died Sunday evening following a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at South Central Avenue and East 77th Street.
 
According to the coroner’s office, Jose Fuentes, of Los Angeles, perished in the 7:42 p.m. crash.
 
Under unclear conditions, a vehicle described by witnesses as a motorcycle struck 50-year-old Fuentes. Subsequently, the driver of the motorcycle fled the area, and shortly thereafter, several vehicles ran over him again.
 
At this point, detectives are reviewing nearby surveillance footage that might have captured the accident. As of Monday, the LAPD stated that they have yet to identify the vehicles involved in the accident.
