Man in Parked Vehicle Dies in Crash on Pacific Coast Highway [Pacific Palisades, CA]
Car Crashes into Two Parked Vehicles on Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA (November 21, 2020) – Authorities confirmed that a man who was sitting in a parked vehicle died in a crash in the 17800 block of Pacific Coast Highway on early Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 03:30 AM.
Based on a report, an unidentified vehicle was traveling south on the highway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it crashed into two cars that were parked on the road.
As a result, the L.A. Fire Department said five people were hurt in the incident. Unfortunately, a victim who was sitting in one of the parked cars later died due to severe injuries. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s name pending kin notification. Another person is now in critical condition.
Caltrans temporarily closed the PCH from Sunset Boulevard to Coastline Drive while clearing operations took place in the area.
Authorities did not provide further information about the cause of the crash. However, they continue to investigate the case.
