Car Crashes into Gino’s Restaurant on South Main Street in Salinas
SALINAS, CA (November 19, 2020) – A police chase led to an accident in Gino’s Restaurant in the 1410 block of South Main Street on Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 8:00 PM.
Based on a report, the police were chasing a Mercedes vehicle when it ran a red light and hit another car. Subsequently, it crashed into Gino’s restaurant.
Multiple police and fire units arrived on the scene. As a result, at least five people were hurt in the incident. Fortunately, none of the people hurt suffered life-threatening injuries.
Salinas Police Police later detained the driver of the car. At this point, officials are still investigating the case.
