Abel Villegas Fatally Struck by Driver on 80 Freeway Near Raley Boulevard

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 19, 2020) — A 36-year-old Sacramento man died following Wednesday’s pedestrian accident on the 80 Freeway near Raley Boulevard.
 
According to the Sacramento County coroner’s office, the 1:45 a.m. crash took the life of Abel Villegas.
 
Per a California Highway Patrol news release, officers arrived at the scene. After that, they located a Jeep Patriot struck Villegas in the westbound lanes.
 
Authorities confirmed that Villegas died immediately upon being hit, and the Jeep driver — a 59-year-old Sacramento woman — immediately pulled over.
