Teen in Critical Condition after Pedestrian Crash on East College Way [Mt Vernon, WA]
Teen Struck and Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver on East College Way near North 35th Street in Mt Vernon
MT VERNON, WA (November 16, 2020) – A teenage girl is now in critical condition after a pedestrian crash on East College Way on Monday evening.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near North 35th Street shortly after 5:00 PM.
Based on a report, the 16-year-old girl was walking on the road near the intersection at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a white or silver Toyota Prius came and struck the victim. Subsequently, witnesses said the driver drove away at a high rate of speed without rendering aid to the victim.
Medics arrived and rushed the girl to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
