At Least 1 Killed in 91 Freeway Crash Near Central Avenue [Carson, CA]

Deadly Two-Vehicle Accident in Carson

 
CARSON, CA (March 24, 2020) — At least one person died in Sunday’s two-vehicle 91 Freeway crash near Central Avenue in the city of Carson.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred around 8:55 p.m. on the westbound side of the freeway.
 
Reports included no information surrounding the gender or age of the victim, and the person’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
Regarding the accident, CHP reported that a car slammed into the rear of a truck and ended up wedged beneath it. Officials consequently closed all westbound lanes as they scoured the scene for evidence and clues as to what led to the crash.
