Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 76 Near Old Grove Road [Oceanside, CA]
Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car in Oceanside
OCEANSIDE, CA (November 16, 2020)—A 36-year-old man died Saturday in a pedestrian accident on Highway 76 near Old Grove Road.
According to the Oceanside Police Department, the fatal incident happened around 12:48 a.m.
Per news reports, a 2005 Lexus sedan heading westbound on the highway struck the 36-year-old pedestrian. Subsequently, the driver pulled over to the center median and waited for police, who discovered that alcohol and drugs did not cause the crash.
According to the investigation, the driver of the Lexus did not see the pedestrian due to dark road conditions.
