Santiago Sanchez Detained for DUI Following Crash in Santa Fe
SANTA FE, NM (November 10, 2020) — Three people, including a child, sustained serious injuries in a DUI accident Tuesday night on Cerrillos Road at 3rd Street.
According to Santa Fe police, 20-year-old Santiago Sanchez collided with a vehicle making a left-hand turn onto 3rd Street.
Per officers, Sanchez may have been traveling at a high rate of speed when the collision occurred.
As a result, the 35-year-old man, 29-year-old woman and 4-year-old child in the second vehicle required immediate hospital care. Officers confirmed that the woman and child sustained critical injuries.
As for Sanchez, police arrested him on DUI charges as he faces multiple counts, including causing great bodily harm while under the influence and failure to render aid.
