Vehicle Hits 12-Year-Old Girl in San Diego Hit-and-Run on Tierrasanta Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 7, 2020) – A 12-year-old girl suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident in the 10600 block of Tierrasanta Boulevard on Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred near Santo Road around 10:48 PM.
Based on a report, the girl was crossing the street at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a westbound vehicle came and struck her. Subsequently, the driver left the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
As a result, the girl sustained a broken left humerus and broken left femur. Paramedics took the victim to a hospital for treatment. Fortunately, her condition was not life-threatening injuries.
San Diego police said the girl was crossing the street in a crosswalk but against a red pedestrian crossing signal. At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
