Man Dies in San Leandro Pedestrian Accident on 14th Street Near 143rd Avenue

 
SAN LEANDRO, CA (November 9, 2020) — A man died Friday morning in a pedestrian accident on East 14th Street near 143rd Avenue.
 
According to police, the fatal incident happened in the 14500 block of East 14th Street about 4:40 a.m.
 
Per officers’ examination, the victim reportedly walked into the street mid-block outside of a crosswalk when an oncoming driver struck him.
 
Following the crash, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigations, which confirmed that impairment and speed did not play as factors in the incident.
