Pinxiang Zhou Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Lytton Avenue [Palo Alto, CA]
Pinxiang Zhou Hit, Killed by Car at Lytton Avenue and Waverly Street
PALO ALTO, CA (November 9, 2020) — A woman in her 70s died following Thursday’s pedestrian accident at Lytton Avenue and Waverly Street.
According to police, the pedestrian was crossing a marked crosswalk when a Honda Fit driver attempted a left turn onto southbound Waverly Street.
As a result, the Honda Fit struck the woman, causing her severe injuries. Soon after, paramedics arrived and took her to a nearby hospital. However, she died shortly afterward.
According to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office, the victim is Pinxiang Zhou of Palo Alto.
The Honda driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators. However, reports described her as a woman in her 30s from Oakland. Officers neither arrested nor cited as the investigation remains.
