Two Dead in Accident Involving Semi-Truck on Highway 57 [Pomona, CA]

SUV Rear-Ends Semi-Truck in Fatal Accident on Highway 57 near Temple Avenue in Pomona

 
POMONA, CA (November 3, 2020) – Crews proclaimed two people dead following an accident that involved a semi-truck on Highway 57 on Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Temple Avenue around 11:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, a red SUV struck the rear of a semi-truck parked on the right-hand side of the highway. Subsequently, the SUV ended up stuck partially under the back of the truck.
 
As a result, two people died in the incident. No information on the victims was immediately available.
 
Crews closed the Nos. 2, 3, and 4 southbound lanes of the highway while clearing and police operations took place in the area.

Pomona police don’t have additional information to share. However, they continue to investigate the case.
