Wrong-Way Driver Causes Motorcycle Crash on Highway 51 near Glendale Avenue in Phoenix
PHOENIX, AZ (November 1, 2020) – Emergency crews transported a rider to the hospital after a motorcycle crash on Highway 51 on Sunday evening.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Glendale Avenue shortly after 10:00 PM.
Based on a report, a car going southbound crossed into the northbound lanes. Subsequently, it crashed into a motorcycle.
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries. Medics sent the victim to the hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the wrong-way driver was not hurt.
DPS said impairment is believed to have been a factor in the crash. However, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
