Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing Into Big Rig in Discovery Bay
DISCOVERY BAY, CA (November 3, 2020)—A 17-year-old died Monday in a motorcycle crash on Highway 4 near Discovery Bay Bridge.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 1:45 p.m. accident happened just west of the Discovery Bay Bridge. Officials with the Contra Costa CHP office said the 17-year-old operating the motorcycle collided with a big rig for unknown reasons.
Tragically, the Stockton teen died at the scene and his identity has yet to be released by the coroner’s office.
The driver of the big rig sustained no injuries in the crash and stayed at the scene for police investigation, which proved that neither alcohol nor drugs played a role.
However, if anyone has more information to add, please contact Contra Costa CHP at (925)646-4980.
