Pedestrian Struck and Injured by 16-Year-Old Driver on College Avenue in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 29, 2020) – A man soliciting signatures was seriously injured in a pedestrian crash on College Avenue on Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened outside a 7-11 store around 5:50 AM.
Based on a report, a 16-year-old girl driving a Scion pulled into the parking lot of the convenience store. As she parked her vehicle, she hit the gas, striking the man and crashing through the front of the store.
As a result, the 35-year-old man sustained pelvic fractures. Fortunately, his condition was not life-threatening.
The San Diego Police Department is still investigating the case. At this time, they don’t have additional information available.
